When Meta shuts the door, don't climb through the window.
Maruthi Hospital's Meta ad account was suspended. What we did, what we refused to do, and the checklist every hospital marketing team should keep for the day it happens to them.
In shortWhen Maruthi Hospital's Meta ad account was suspended, the tempting fix was to open a new page or account and carry on. Meta treats that as evading enforcement, and every new asset tends to get pulled into the same restriction. Instead, we read Meta's own guidance, acted on it quickly, and rebuilt the hospital's presence under a genuine admin, the doctor's own profile. This case is a field guide: what to do in the first days, and what never to do.
Ads stopped overnight.
Maruthi Hospital's ad account was suspended. Campaigns stopped, enquiries stopped, and everyone wanted the ads back the same day.
A suspension feels like a technical glitch. It isn't. It is a decision by Meta's enforcement system, and how you respond in the first few days decides whether it stays a small problem or becomes a permanent one.
The panic fix makes it worse.
The common reaction is to create a new Facebook page, a new ad account, or a new profile, and start again. Meta's systems link these new assets to the restricted ones. Meta's Account Integrity policy lists accounts "created or repurposed to evade a previous account or entity removal" as a violation in itself.
So each new attempt adds a second violation on top of the first. That is how a suspended ad account becomes a hospital that cannot advertise on Meta at all.
Two ways to respond
Field-testedThe panic path
- New page created to keep running ads
- Meta links it to the restricted assets
- New page restricted too
- New profile, new page, again
The STYL path
- Read the reason in Business Support Home
- Fix the cause and secure the account
- Request one careful review
- Genuine admin, clean setup, compliant ads
First, find out what exactly is restricted
From Meta's help centreSource: Meta, About advertising restrictions. The fix depends on which one it is.
What we did for Maruthi Hospital.
- 01
Stopped every workaround
No new pages, no new ad accounts, no borrowed profiles while the restriction was being handled.
- 02
Went to the source
We read the restriction reason in Meta Business Support Home and checked it against Meta's published guidelines instead of forums and guesswork.
- 03
Rebuilt under a genuine admin
The hospital's Meta presence was set up again under the doctor's own Facebook profile, a real person with a real identity, so the page had an authentic, accountable owner.
- 04
Made the new setup compliant from day one
Healthcare ads are a common trigger for rejections. New creatives avoided claims and wording that Meta restricts, such as asking viewers about a medical condition.
If your hospital's Meta account is suspended
Do this, in order
- Open Business Support Home the same day and read the exact reason.
- Identify what is restricted: business portfolio, ad account, Page or personal profile.
- Fix the cause first: edit or remove the flagged ads, check payment failures, turn on two-factor authentication.
- Complete anything Meta asks for: confirm identity, complete verification, secure the account.
- Have an admin request a review once, with everything fixed. Reviews are limited and the decision is final.
- Wait. Meta says reviews are typically done in 48 hours.
- Turn ads back on in Ads Manager after reinstatement. They don't restart automatically.
- Keep at least two genuine admins with two-factor authentication on the business portfolio from now on.
Never do this
- Create new pages, profiles or ad accounts to get around the restriction.
- Use fake profiles, or rent or buy someone else's ad account.
- Request a review before you have fixed the cause.
- Run the same rejected creative again from a different account.
- Ignore it. An ad account that stays ineligible for six months can't be reinstated.
- Share one login among staff. Give each person their own role in the business portfolio.

The hospital didn't need a clever trick. It needed someone calm who followed the rules, fixed the cause and got it advertising again without risking its name on Meta.
A suspension is a message. Read it, fix it, and appeal once. Don't try to outrun it.
